Ok thanks aard. I will follow your great advice!
Thanks curious. The idea was that the two bits would flex as they are pushed through the hole, so there's no reinforcement because those parts are supposed to flex. But I guess there will be stress...
Can you explain this process a little further? What indicates the temperature is too high or low?
Here's the bit;

Also I had read that ABS flexes before it breaks but this part seems quite brittle.
Hi All, if i'm not concerned about print time or filament use, how would i optimize for print quality? Is slower always better? Is lower layer height always better? At what point when lowering speed...
Actually, replacing the top only helped. The extruder filament drives do not have sufficient grip on the filament and slip a lot. No tension adjustment either...
Another Issue: extruders do not grip the filament well enough, resulting in low density, poor quality print. There is no tension adjustment on the extruders that coming with the M201, so they're not...
Replaced tip - issue fixed.
From a net search "Check the hotend pushing the filament by hand. (245°C for ABS, 200°C for PLA) It should be as easy as inserting a knife into some butter.". Is that right? If so there must be a...
Ok the filament use is a tiny fraction of the requested feed, maybe 10mm out of 100. One of the extruders drive had significantly less grip than the other, so i've stretched the spring and...
Thanks all for your responses.
>It is massively under extruding. Have you checked the extruder and the nozzle for a mechanical issue?
What hot end temp are you using?
The hotend is the...
Ok, i've upper all 5 stepper motor drivers from 0.5x to 0.9x volts. No effect on print quality,
Deleted - wrong thread
I have test printed a 20mm cube, and the sides and top are incomplete, but the base is ok;

Geeetech quality issues and fixes thread. Hopefully this thread will become useful enought to be stickied.
Please post in this thread if you have either come across a quality issue or have a fix...
Hi Alex - I *think* i was getting some Z axis binding even though nudging using manual control seemed fine. Lubricate all the sliding surfaces and threads if you havent already. After that you might...
The Geeetechs come with their own firmware, and i'm on the latest version of that. I think i might have been having trouble with binding on the Z axix. I have pulled the threaded rod out and made it...
Hi All.
The base of my first print didnt stick on one corner, so I cancelled it. I then reset the Z calibration carefully using 4 different points on the bed, However, now when i start the print...
