I'm looking for a replacement controller board. I tried few Rumba boards, but the usb chip of all those failed. (A common problem by my google search.)
I also tried to buy a RAMBo board (greetech...
I haven't even got this one near my hub. It's only been plugged into the raspberry pi which was plugged into the same power strip as the printer.
When I first plugged it in, Octoprint worked fine...
I just noticed from the latest PCB layout that it is JTAG and not JTAB. (heh)
I already have a programmer that I could probably just hook up. That would let me reprogram it, but it probably...
Nice. I found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Iduino-DUE-Pro-Mini-USB-Serial-Adapter-compatible-with-Arduino-Due-HQ-/251753695359
Now, how to figure out which resistor on the board is r17/18. (No...
Also, I just switched it to usb powered and tried to power the rumba board via the usb only (with the main power turned off) and it wouldn't even recognize the board or power it.
My guess is the...
Going from the ground of the usb port (basically the outside metal shell of the port) of both the rpi and the rumba board I get 0v.
Perhaps. I just wish I knew what other troubleshooting steps I could use to figure it out. I have test equipment, but the Oscilloscope and multimeter both show normal readings.
So, the new Raspberry Pi shows up and now I get the following:
[ 740.499047] usb 1-1.3: new full-speed USB device number 16 using dwc_otg
[ 740.579015] usb 1-1.3: device descriptor read/64,...
I don't know. The small wires on the left ... um.. box? looks fine. I'm not sure if it's just not moving on quick enough or what. Definitely go through the calibration steps though.
yeah, I didn't see anything either. I don't have a fan (hexagon print head) so maybe it see's the "turn fan off" and faults because there is no fan to turn off?
edit: Just to clarify, I have a...
The last layer is G1 Z146.600 F6000.000
So it shouldn't be a problem. The thing that gets me is that it says "Waiting for user input" while slowly attempting to crush my print.
I already mentioned that I checked it and it was just the basic endcode.
G1 F1800.000 E0.09042
G92 E0
G1 Z147.200 F6000.000
M107
M104 S0 ; turn off temperature
G28 X0 ; home X axis
G28 Y0...
I've had this happen twice now. The printer completes it's print and then the screen shows "Waiting for user input" while the head starts to move down. First time I wasn't next to my printer and...
Arrives? I just picked up a bottle of Aquanet from the nearest grocery store.
Glad everything didn't go up in flames. Good luck with your first print!
Yeah, did that after the first board. Everything works and I've been printing lots of fun stuff, but I'm still afraid to attach anything to it. I bought this and hooked it up to my power rail, so...
Awesome. Downloading slic3r 1.1.7 now :)
Oh, I see. I thought that with my hub (since it's connected via a UPS.)
However, the raspberry pi and the printer were connected via the same power strip. Thus, the line/neutral are connected...
What do you mean? I measured the power coming from the printer power supply and it's 12v. That's what's being supplied to the RUMBA power rails.
The Raspberry Pi was receiving the usual 5v1a usb...
Just to update. I hooked my oscilloscope up and it seemed to be a pretty steady voltage line. I also checked again with my multimeter and received pretty close to a perfect 12v output. Still not...
Yup, I have the .4mm nozzle. I had it set to 60% infil with .2mm layers. I reprinted with support material and the curved parts at the top looked great, however, the straight sides were still...
I'm using Slicer 0.9.9 (which colin says to use because anything past that will cause problems.)
Is this an issue?
For your benefit, I hope that's not the case. :)
I've been having issues as well. Maybe it's just me but the parts seem far too brittle for me. Not to mention it cracked far too easily on the layers.
Also, it looks like the parts are cooling...
The board was connected to the wall using a 1a microusb wall adapter. I've had the raspberry pi running on this power for a good two weeks with no problems before I decided to switch it over to be...
Ok, now I'm kinda annoyed. I just plugged a raspberry pi into the 3d printer. Octipi started up and I was able to control it and view the print via the camera. I was all impressed.
Until I...
