Interesting and Helpful. You are awesome!
The question is though, would normal people be willing to shell out $15,000 for an SLS printer, or would they just simply buy a Makerbot for $1400?
Has anyone ever wanted to join there filament together? I've been wanting to do this because I have a little bit left in several roles. What would you guys suggest as the best way to do it? Should...
Saw these and thought these were extremely nifty.
I don't really like the Makerbot digital store at all. I find it rather pointless; the items that are in there. However, I just noticed that...

I design stuff, but my knowledge of CAD is very limited. You can use programs like FreeCAD and just experiment with it. There isn't too much you need to know in order to make a cool 3D design.
I agree. To me, this is a sign to buy. Putting money into R&D only means that there will be better, cheaper, and more efficient printers coming out in the future.
What do you guys think about this Dual Extruder 3D Printer, called the Wanhao Duplicator 4X?

I'd be curious to see how the expired patents are effecting your decisions. I'd imagine you guys are considering SLS though....
I have an old one that stopped working about 6 months ago, and I never bothered to try and fix it. I think it had too many problems, and my diagnostics weren't working in trying to determine the...
I agree 100%. Blender is the way to go. Has anyone tried Cubify Design yet, that can provide some feedback?
I wonder what they are paying for this. I'd love to do it even though Im out of school.
Just want to say that this app is awesome, especially for amateur designers. My son is having a blast with it. We haven't printed anything yet but will be doing so, very soon!

Looks like they blew by their number with time to spare. I almost backed this but didn't. I think I'll wait and see how things go and get a post production unit once they are shipping.
I would guess it would be either the MakerBot or the Cube. Both these printers are ready to go out of the box and are made for everyday use by consumers. The Cube seems to be a little more...
I think google glass and other competitors will have mastered the technology by 2019. I think there will be simlar technology in contact lenses all controlled by voice.
Good question. I'm assuming that it IS. However, I too would like to hear confirmation.
Yeah, that's what my thoughts were. I'd like to see this thing in action before I decide if it's worth forking over $500. From the details though, it seems like a decent printer at a decent price.

Sorry just had to post it :)
Once upon a time, there was someone with an idea. His idea was so extraordinary that he told all of
