Hell of a bump I know!
But, have just got this setup today, using a Toshiba FlashAir card.
Have it associated to my main router wireless network - so just appears as a device on the main network...
Well the Windows 10 woes continue, now found I cannot program Arduino stuff either - anything over a few lines of code it times out waiting for response back and never completes , think its fairly...
Reason for W10 upgrade - it's shiny and I like shiny, plus I do an awful lot of support type work so I do like having things to fix :) Simple as that really, I am an early adopter on all fronts - PC...
Cheers Sebastian, will have an investigate. Like said not encountered any issues personally so far but always open to more expert opinions.
Up to now it has never been an issue on anything. I can imagine for low powered PCs/Laptops it could be due to hanging or crashing (given its "streaming" nature)
I have been printing trouble free...
Not alone it appears:

Was picked up in the preview releases and has carried on to the live. Nice work MS.
Moving to SD card printing instead for the...
Encountering some really weird behaviour and I am unsure if its as I have recently changed both these since I last printed anything
A) Upgrading to Windows 10
B) Upgrading Simplify to 3.0.1

No problem Roob, TBH I haven't found a need to change any of the settings I commented on so far - though I do only tend to print right from USB personally and have no need of the other 2 settings...
Extruder Hold - it keeps the extruder motor from being disabled by command "M103" and is of use for 3MM extruders - source - http://www.makerbot.com/sailfish/releases
Check SD Reads - sounds like it...
ABS doesn't sound a bad choice at all. It's not toxic and shouldn't leach anything into the water - saltwater habitats are a fine balancing act (I ended up stopping at tropical fish personally as it...
Seems a worrying trend on recent printers:
http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.php?11176-HELP!-Bed-stuck-at-peak-z-position!
Strongly suspect that one is missing a Z stop too.
Missing switch from the Z platform stop I expect.
Have a look at the post above yours for likely same issue -...
Well the standard black Buildtak is available direct from their online store here - http://www.buildtak.com/product/buildtak-3d-printing-build-surface/
Certainly sounds like the right stuff, and...
Its good stuff, I am only using that now as a surface for all my materials - though I am not sure it may be a little too sticky for flexible filaments like Ninjaflex from what I have heard so far,...
Sounds like Buildtak - they are usually black though. It is exactly like an old cheap mouse pad with the plastic textured top.
The 3M brand could just be for the adhesive base bit.
Hi fotomatcion - no I didn't try to print it as it shows nothing for me in the preview window after slicing it and contains nothing in the resulting output Gcode - it wouldn't even print in that case.
Doesn't slice properly for me in Simplify3d either, though the model shows up, when you prepare to print (slice it) it shows nothing at all and 0 build time. The resulting Gcode file is empty bar...
Out of curiosity, does it do it with other models - say a calibration cube or similar. Or do you have a link to the model so that I can take a look?
Just wondering if its a slicer issue, it can do...
You can get Stove or Woodburner glass cut to size. Try your local suppliers they should be able to sort you out for not much money.
My local place (in the UK) stocked Robax glass which is basically...
Thanks for the links and info - I do like Ninjaflex but could only really justify one colour at the prices, but that Filaflex is more on par with decent ABS/PLA prices so will give it a go.
Yes it works well with ABS and PLA - I have mine on top of glass (to remove the original warping of the shipped bed)
Adhesion is perfect. ABS I usually use a raft still, depends on the part - if its...
Its a 24 Volt, 40x10 mm fan - not sure of places USA people shop for electronics (I am in the UK myself), but something like this on Amazon:
...
Yeah could just be a bolt has come loose that holds a cable clip or similar which has caused the cables to move into the path of the fan - they tend to work lose after some time I am finding - I will...
That sounds like the fan under the printer cooling the board - sounds like it is rubbing the cables or similar to me - I would get that looked at as soon as, you don't want a shredded power cable...
