When you visit Kenya, no matter how long your visa is for, you cannot leave the country until it is in place. This means if you plan on going to Nairobi to check in at the Mombasa airport, you cannot also go anywhere else in Kenya until your visa expires. This also means that you cannot work while you're in Kenya. However, most hotels and restaurants in Nairobi are open twenty-four hours a day.
