Biography:

As visual and interactive media play increasingly larger roles in our daily lives, the need for creative professionals grows exponentially. At the NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA), our programs not only help you to acquire the knowledge to succeed, but also to master the skills necessary to excel in the fields of design, digital arts, and film.

Our noncredit certificates provide the basis to enhance your current professional skills, advance your career, or transition to a new one. Noncredit courses for professionals and beginners are also available in a variety of creative fields, including print/graphic design, motion graphics, Web design, interior design, and product design. They allow students to keep pace with the latest trends and the newest software, while providing the basis for professional growth and personal enrichment.

Faculty members and visiting artists at the NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Advanced Digital Applications are among the leading visionaries in design, animation, and interactive media. Their knowledge and experience spans across all areas of digital content creation and visualization. Through lectures, lab work, and collaborative interactions, students and faculty members work together to bring purpose to every pixel that is placed on the digital canvas.

Faculty members are working professionals who are employed by top design firms and creative agencies, and who hold positions such as interactive art director, executive producer, technical director, senior compositor, interactive designer, visual effects supervisor, animator/designer, and senior editor. Their expertise is tapped to help design curriculum that is based upon the professional production needs, expectations, and standards of the industry. They mentor students, cultivate professional networking opportunities, invite prominent guest speakers into the classroom, and share their real-world experience.
