    This only seems to happen to me on the lower layers, or very small thin prints, I just lower the temp of the nozzle to what I normally wouldnt (so in the case of ABS ill print it at 220c) and that solves the issue. Just remember to print SLOW.. like 40ms feed rate, if its too fast and the extrusion temp is too low, we all know what happens... click click click...

    S3D has a setting called coast. What it does it turns off the flow just before the end of a loop, it is configurable on the distance. The extruder will ooze a little material even after the filament stepper stops so this compensates for that.
