    3D Printing Lock Picks

Blogger machinist from 23b shop was inspired to make a 3D printed lock picking tool when he saw his buddy shaping one by hand from a zip tie. Using Autotrace, from Solidworks, and an Objet 3D printer, he was able to create a successful prototype that did work on picking locks. With scaling and breakage being issues, he went back and made some refinements to the design, and is hoping to perfect it enough to make a mold and start printing the picks in mass. Yes, it's true, when you can make anything, you can even make things that can be used for crimes.

Thankfully, owning a lock-picking set isn't illegal, only using it for a crime is.
