    Camtek's Gyphon 3D Printer

Camtek is about to make things easier on both the workload and the wallet with their new Gryphon 3D printer, which uses inkjet technology for direct deposition of solder mask, eliminating waste and the opportunity for failure to the product, which is an ongoing issue in the traditional method of spraying and washing. Camtek's new printer has passed rigorous testing with flying colors and is expected to be well received in a very competitive industry. I question calling this a 3D printer. Yeah, there's layering, but not to build meaningful depth. Some of the technologies might be very similar, but it seems more like a sophisticated 2D printer, not a 3D printer. I'm guessing calling it a 3D printer is to get more outlets to pick up the story.
