USB connection problems with new i3v build; hardware working
Hi everyone,
I've finished assembling my MakerFarm i3v 10" printer. Hardware seems to be working - homes okay, and test Gcode makes it move around. But I can't get the USB connection to my computer to work.
The driver is not installing properly - my first key question is that it shows up as:
Other devices
- RUMBA - ATmega 2560 co
But I have a RAMPS board, is there something wrong in the firmware? The same thing happens with both a XP and a Windows 7 computer.
I downloaded the "i3v Drivers" from Makerfarm, but windows won't use drivers from either the "windows 7, XP driver" folder or the "Rumba Driver for XP, 7 & 8".
I've also done Arduino programming in the past, so went to my Arduino environment, but no luck communicating there either.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Randy
