    Getting it to stick !!

Someone - don't know who - on some website said
'set the first layer maximum speed to 5 mm/sec'
Since I've done this my prints stick to a glass bed like the proverbial to a blanket with no preparation apart from a good clean.
All the edge curling (I print with ABS) has gone and I've stopped messing about with extruder and bed temperature.
    He deserves a medal.
Also I used to have a problem with the PTFE tube blocking with filament but that seems to have gone by reducing the retraction to 1 mm.
    Hope this helps.
