Solid V Delrin Idlers vs Dual V

    Hey guys,

I saw this Solid V Delrin Idler pop up on makerfarm.com. Were any of your kits shipped with these? I'm wondering if there are any reasons to "upgrade" the double V slotted delrin idlers I have from the 8" i3V to these solid versions.

I have one of the newer kits, (a month old?) it came with the regular dual V slotted wheels.

Mine came with nothing! But, then Colin sent me the solid ones. Read on another site they are stiffer/less deflection.

How can they tell? It's not like these split ones are soft.

Those steel ones do say they are for hardened rails. I'd rather have the wheels wear than the rails wear...
