Students in a seventh grade STEM class at Perry Middle School have built their own 3D printer. The students took approximately one month to complete the build spread out over 45-minute class periods. Currently, the students are printing objects that were included in the manufacturer’s software but they hope to design and print their own objects in the near future. Given the success of the deep learning their teacher had hoped for, she is trying to introduce the idea to teachers in the STEM program at Perry High School.
