The carbon fiber reinforced PLA might be useful for parts that come under a lot of stress.

It looks like that carbon fiber is going to be some pretty tough stuff. I'm going to have to get some of this stuff and try it out. I really like your reusable folding spool. I will book mark this site. I'm wondering how hard would it be to do different colors in carbon fiber, or paint on it. I'm thinking any parts that you need that extra strength, that other plastics might not stand up to, would be ideal things to print with this.

Spare parts which have to be able to withstand high forces. Like a coat hanger, wall mount, parts for outside etcetera. Reprap printer parts as well.

So far I have been using my sample of Poly-ABS for parts that might benefit from added strength. It really doesn't seem all that different from normal ABS, but it looks to be a nice little boost so I'm happy with it.
