We all know that General Electric has been a major player within the additive manufacturing space for some time now. Reportedly they want to expand this in a major way. In 2017, production of the new Boeing 777X aircraft will begin. The aircraft will feature a new engine called the GE9X, which is produced by none other then GE. General Electric is looking to use Electron beam sintering to fabricate the turbine blades of these new engines via a titanium aluminide powder. More details on this story may be found here:
