Thought this was pretty incredible. Researchers at Harvard University have created a 3D printed lamp which self assembles. Even more remarkable is that almost all of the electronic components of the lamp are 3D printed within it as well. There are 3D printed sensors, 3D printed wiring, a 3d printed mechanical switch, and more. Pretty much the only non 3D printed parts are the Arduino board and the LED light. It uses special plastics which shrink when heated, calling it to self assemble.
