I don't know if I worded that correctly. I am wondering if you can print the raft for abs, THEN let it wait and cool slowly, THEN start to print the actual object... OR if a part fails in the middle, start it where it went wrong, so the waste is brought to a minimum.

I know that my makerbot isn't ideal for printing in ABS, but I am still trying different things to create a reliable part. I have even had PLA warp on a 'larger' print, that pulled up the 3M tape.
