Researchers Find that Laponite Material Improves 3D Printing with Hydrogels
Researchers have found that with Laponite, an artificial nanosilicate clay, they are able to improve 3D printing with hydrogels. In working to create better materials for tissue engineering, the team used both alginate and methylcellulose for their bioink. The inclusion of Laponite allowed for improved fabrication, better shape fidelity, and more effective release of growth agents.
