Wooden Makerbot Replicator Dual

I have a Replicator Dual, wooden frame. I only have one stepper installed at a time, the right stepper. I had the setting on the actual printer set to "Single".

Anyway, the communicator cable to the right stepper was shorting out, so I removed the right stepper and installed the left stepper, and then I set the printer to "Dual".

I can successfully load filament , but when I home the print head, I get a horrible clicking sound, it appears as if my extruders/steppers are off center.

Any thoughts how to fix this?

Your limit switch isn't working.

The printer moves to the right until it sees this limit switch pressed.

Your video is what happens when nothing stops the machine from moving the printhead and it runs into the side. Since you removed the right stepper motor, there isn't anything to hit the endstop switch to stop carriage from continually moving to the right. The clicking is the motor ratcheting.
