Why is initial printer temperature typically higher?
When using Cura the initial printer temperature is typically around 200 degrees C and then changes to 195 degrees C after it finishes the first layer of PLA printing. What I want to know is why exactly is it doing this? What is the rational for doing this ( I realize these settings can be changed)? I would have thought that keeping the temperature constant throughout the print would have been better since contraction would be more uniform throughout the print.
