HP is looking toward boosting the materials capabilities on its Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing system, and is turning toward partnerships to do so. Recently releasing a roadmap of materials science, the company debuted their 3D Open Materials and Innovation Lab in Corvallis, Oregon last week, and this morning unveiled the Material Development Kit (MDK) developed with SigmaDesign. The company has also been highlighting two of its materials partners, BASF and Evonik, and their roles in additive manufacturing materials. 3DPrint.com was able to tour the Corvallis facility to learn more about the stages toward materials development and certification.
