Ultimaker Co-Founder Siert Wijnia's TEDx Ultrecht Speech

Just thought I'd share this. Ultimaker Co-founder Siert Wijnia talks about how 3D printing is the future, but says that it must get a lot faster. He also emphasizes that we need openness, and open source. He says we need to share and stop trying to patent everything. Sharing is what will increase the speed at which innovation in the 3D printing industry takes place. It's a pretty good short 10 minute speech that is definitely worth watching.

Sharing won't ever happen. This is a capitalistic economy. People want to make money. It won't be changing anytime soon.

    Not everyone,

Ultimaker, Reprap and some other projects are open source/sharing,
Not everyone is only aiming at patening everything they make, even if its simple.
