noob needs help

First of all, hello, I'm Dave and I have a printing problem. I bought a cheap GEEETECH Upgraded Reprap 3D Printer Pro B MK8 extruder Prusa Mendel off ebay. tech support was great in getting it working. now I would like to get it working right. I ordered a couple extra brass fittings as well.

below are the results of my first couple prints:

the second and third print are the same.

I'm using default settings and hair spray to help it adhear to the bed.

As you can see, I need help.

tech support sent me an email with all the settings I need to change to fix common issues but I have nowhere to put those settings in.

first I need a free software that will let me modify settings, what is recommended.

What slicing software are you using?

It looks like you need to slow the print down and increase the thickness of the first layer. This will all be set in the slicing program, but we need to know which one you are using.
