Creature Comfort & Care Offers 3D Printed Prosthetics to Injured Animals
At 16 years of age, Nikita Krishnan has already accomplished more than many people accomplish in their lifetimes. She's the founder and president of Creature Comfort & Care, a nonprofit providing 3D printed prosthetics and splints to injured animals, free of charge. Inspired by the three-legged stray dogs she saw on a visit to India, Krishnan began learning about 3D printing and the design of prosthetic devices; a year after she started her business, she is working with local animal rescue organizations and has helped several injured dogs and birds.
