King Tut Exhibit Translated into Electronic Tablet Form Via 3D Scanning
The wonders of King Tut never cease. Recently, the Creaform team, famous for their 3D scanning and software technology, had the privilege to take part in re-creating part of an exhibit featuring King Tut in a chariot. Because of the value of the artwork, museum visitors would not be able to get close to the sculpture. The Milwaukee Public Museum commissioned Creaform to scan all the King Tut work, including the horses dressed in a variety of accessories. Performed in color and life-size, the scans were completed in 30 different parts over three days and then transferred to an app allowing museum goers to view everything vibrantly from electronic tablets.
