Pretty cool customizable 3d printable trees

These were release by Thingiverse today.



They are almost completely customizable. There are about a dozen different parameters that can be changed to customize these trees to make them look the way you want them to. The Thingiverse customizer has been upgraded to OpenSCAD (2013.06). So they decided to create this tree to show off what the new customizer can do. I had a chance to work with it, but haven't gotten around to printing one yet.

Seems like the new thingiverse customizer is pretty good. I can't wait to see what other designs people make that can be completely customized.

Lol, not sure what exactly the point of them are, but they do look pretty neat. Maybe a jewelry hanger?

The point basically is for Thingiverse to show off their new customizer. I think it gets the job done. Sure, these aren't very useful for anything, but 50% of the stuff on Thingiverse falls into the same category LOL.
