John Choi has released into the Instructables universe a detailed set of instructions for creating a humanoid robot that can be programmed to carry out a wide variety of tasks. The 80 steps necessary to complete the computer require a working knowledge of 3D printing and software programming, but the process is designed to be carried out by students in advanced robotics courses at the high school level. Called the Multipurpose Mobile Manipulator Mk 1-001, the open source project is the latest contribution from the Carnegie Mellon grad who brought us the 3D printed crab robot while still a student.
