We can’t decide whether this story is more fun or totally creepy, but a Hong Kong engineer and designer, self taught, has spent that last 18 months and nearly $50K constructing a 3D printed humanoid called the Mark 1. The name is a bit deceiving however, as the robot is completely modeled after Scarlett Johansson. Her skin is made of a malleable silicone, and her innards are nearly 70 percent 3D printed, housing all the electronics and mechanics that allow her to move her face and body, as well as speak. The creator, Ricky Ma, is hoping to find an investor for the prototype so he can go on to make even more advanced robots.
