An Australian researcher has made some impressive headway in research that could lead to major transformations in dental surgery and procedures. Using bioprinting, he sees great potential for using a patient’s own cells to stimulate growth for cells in missing areas of the jaw and gums. Patients could go to regional centers and have CT scans taken of damaged areas which then would be 3D printed into new parts.
