In May, 3DPrint.com will be in attendance at the RAPID 2016 conference being produced by SME. Also in attendance at the conference will be a team who will 3D print and assemble, live on the show floor, a large-scale replica of NASA's Orion crew module. We've been following Project Orion and its revolutionary uses of 3D technology for quite a while; the spacecraft will ultimately take humans into deep space - and to Mars - for the first time. Last week, Orion was 3D scanned for the first time ever, and the scans will be used to 3D print several small repilcas as well as the large one being featured at RAPID.
