Denver University Researchers 3D Printing Organ Replicas
Today at Denver University, researchers are working on plans to make 3D printed organs—eventually. Thanks to the 3D Printing Store in Denver, they now have a bioprinter from BioBots, which so far has allowed them to replicate a heart valve which should prove to be very helpful in pediatric surgeries where children’s organs are still growing. They have also made a replica of an ear. Their goal is of course to one day 3D print body parts like hearts or livers that can indeed be used in a transplant.
