When we hear about 3d printing and aerospace, we usually think about General Electric 3D printing parts for their turbine engines, or BAE systems 3d printing fighter jet parts. It's also being used for other pieces of aircraft though, ore simpler ones.

BAE systems has 3d printed hundreds of these tiny thumbnail sized window parts. The part allows the window to breathe and not fog up during flight. If it wasn't for 3D printing, BAE may have had to ground hundreds of aircraft for up to 2 months, not to mention spend a lot more time and money than they did. Check it out!
