3D Systems Has Acquired Digital PlaySpace

In yet another acquisition for the worlds largest 3D printing company, 3D Systems has purchased Digital Playspace.

Digital Playspace makes games like Digital Dollhouse, and DreamHouse Designer. Both games allow for 3D manipulation of objects within an area, and then the printing out of those objects for real world fun.

Wow, 3D Systems seems to really be trying to get a leg up on the competition before the competition really emerges later this year. I am talking about possibly Epson and Hewlett Packard entering the market.

What 3D systems is trying to do is get as big of a head start as possible because they know there will be a lot of companies competing in this space
