It’s a different take on the reward and the trophy this year at the Design Institute of Australia as they celebrate graduates of the year for 2015. There are winners in six categories for the portfolio-based DIA program, and this year the DIA hired Imaginables and XYZ Workshop to make something new and different in celebration of designers who went above and beyond in showing excellent. Printing the awards in magenta PLA on Ultimaker 2 3D printers, the main designer, Kae Woei Lim, was able to come up with a design that looks like something a movie star would carry away from an awards show--offering a different twist form the traditional.
