Michigan-based VetsIn3D has just launched, bringing 3D printing to both veterans and veterinarians. Led by US Army Veterinary Corps veteran Dr. Turnera Croom, a veterinarian in the Kalamazoo area, the new site offers a store with 3D printed goods, as well as a broad vision for the future. Dr. Croom intends to use 3D printing to help veterans develop their own home-based businesses; present student workshops introducing 3D printing to Kalamazoo-area schools where budgets typically do not allow for high-tech training; and far more. VetsIn3D is offering veterans a chance for a free 3D printed set of dog tags, and will continue the promotional offering as a prize in recurring 3D design competitions.
