I will also have glass as a backup. Lets hope that the replacement MagHold i get is not warped.

Anyone else notice the plastic carriage on the right side that holds the x-axis stepper motor is melting/deforming? I hear that this motor gets hot, but I am shocked to see that it may be getting hot enough to deform the plastic. I notice the edges of the plastic are swelling and becoming rounder

One thing you can do to help is turn down the Vref voltage of the X stepper. Default is like 118 or 127. You can run it at 80-90 and it will run cooler and make less noise at the same time. Change x and y to 90 or so and see if it helps.

There are metal x ends that will help but they are pricey. Can print some out of polycarbonate too.

I'll be sure to do that, thanks. Why is one of the axis VREF values only 40, while the others are 118?

I've not seen any melting on my plastic carriage parts but if you want everything to be metal this guy should have the stuff that works.

The Z axis is 40, X and Y can be reduced to 90 or so. Ya raffles stuff is good, it isn't designed specifically for the Rep 1 clones with how the belt mounts. But it can be made to work.

I just received my printer today. After unboxing I want to check to see if my power supply is on 110 or 220. I can't get a good view of the switch even putting the unit in my lap and turning it on its side. I can barely see the 115 but can't tell if the switch needs to be left or right, up or down to be on 115. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

If anyone else has this issue, the switch needs to be slid to the right to be on 115.

If you can read 115, then its set on 115
