German engineer and economist Volker Schweisfurth has created a way to visualize data using 3D printed sculptures which suggest a way to make that data more memorable. Schweisfurth says the sculptures came about from his experience delivering speeches and presentations related to his expertise. He says that he found his audiences suffered from a low retention rate for the data he presented, and so he uses 3D printing to “make digital data tangible.” You can read the whole story here: http://3dprint.com/87683/3d-printing-data-sources/
