    3D Printing Self Assembling Blocks

Researchers at the Institute for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at Bar-Ilan University in Israel have done a very interesting study with quite fascinating results, attempting to manipulate self-assembly of 18 3D printed blocks tumbled in a cylinder, using vibration to lock them back into place. The idea is to find a way to use this potential in industry such as construction, manufacturing, and streamlined packaging for items such as furniture. While results were promising, further study is needed to find concrete uses. Read about their findings so far here: http://3dprint.com/86077/self-assemble-3d-print-bricks/

    that's very clever.

Must be a lot of real world applications I can't think of. But defintiely got potential.
