Netfabb Releases New Support Generation Tools
German 3D printing software supplier netfabb just released a new add-on for the netfabb Professional 6 suite called Support Structures. The Support Structures add-on is specially designed to create advanced support generation for Selective Laser Melting, Stereolithography, and DLP technologies, and the company says this new feature will mean netfabb Professional 6 users can to easily add support lattices and structures to parts for additive manufacturing processes. This article implies that support structures are somehow innovative, when as we all know, they're not.
Netfabb have added support generation to their software? OK. Is it better than existing support? If so, let's see the figures. Or AT LEAST pictures of actual completed prints.
The headline implies that metal AM is specifically improved. How? Does metal SLM need support?
Do bed magnets deteriorate.
