Hi I am interesting in speaking with someone about bringing together a viable solution for leg prosthetics.
Here is some of the things I have been seeing / reading.

I have seen laser scanning & CT scanning used then the resulting data is fed into an application which converts the data into something a CAD package can use. The CAD package then feeds into a 3D printer to produce a high quality socket for the stump. As the stump is not meant for the stresses a foot encounters being able to have a supportive and comfortable fit is really important.

On TED talk via you tube I found a company which produces a knee for what they said was to be $80 cost, but the market was for people who earn $4 a day.

If possible I would like to see is a total solution brought together. currently people are paying high $ for a legacy approach to leg prosthetics.
What we need in the group someone who understands:
3D printing
3D scanning
Materials
Manufacturing
Crowd funding
???

Looking forward to hearing from someone.
