Check Out These 3D Printed Shock Absorbers
IT professional Simon Chan is a problem-solver, and when his desktop 3D printer was rattling and vibrating too much for his taste, even with a foam mat under it, he turned to SketchUp to draw up a solution. Inspired by building earthquake-proofing measures, Chan created Printer Shock Absorbers. The four devices sit under the four corners of any 3D printer, with each consisting of five springs to dampen and dissipate the energy of vibrations from rapid X/Y axis movements and directional changes. He's made the design available for download on Thingiverse. Read the full story here: http://3dprint.com/79947/3d-printer-shock-absorbers/

I looked in to doing something like this, but then I found out about Sorbothane bumpers. I used four of these self-adhesive feet on my Printrbot Metal Plus (which is in an enclosure on a table), and the noise and vibration dropped dramatically.
