Building my first RepRap Bot. [Journal]

Hey Guys,

I am obviously new here. Hoping this is a good community to help me on my journey to 3D printing. I have been researching for about a month and I am ready to dive in.

I went through my storage recently and started thinking, I could re-use some of this old technology. After further research online I realized I could use these items to build a 3D printer of my own. (or at least get the basics)

Anyone know anywhere I should continue to learn about this. I am not looking to do anything crazy at this point. Just build the mechanics.

Working with a few old printers, Xbox 360s, DVD players and such.

I took apart an junk all in one Lexmark Printer as well as a busted Xbox DVD drive and found enough parts to start me on my journey.
