This May Be The Coolest 3D Printed Toy You've Ever Seen
Singapore’s Michael Sng, founder of Machination Studios, has put together a 3D printed toy the likes of which no one has seen yet. Featuring 435 3D printed parts made from ABS and SLS, the Codename Colossus hexapod robot runs on servo motors and LEDs. Sng created the microcontrollers and circuit board himself. With the goal in mind to create ‘the ultimate toy,’ Sng is offering the 3D printed Colossus as a made-to-order item, cutting out manufacturers and gaining ‘freedom from tyranny’ as he is able to work with customers one on one and use the greatest benefits 3D printing has to offer all around.
