Two teachers at Mocanaquah School Corporation in Bunker Hill, Indiana were contacted by a social worker who works with a local blind and deaf woman, Faith Altheides, who is also recently widowed. The social worker had the request for their help making a 3D printed bust of the woman's daughter, who is leaving for college soon. The teachers did just this, and then they surprised Faith with the bust. Denise, Faith's daughter, predicted the gift would make the mother emotional, and it did. Not the first time 3D printing has caused some emotions to flow, and an extra memorable example of how special customized printing can be for so many.
