Flashforge Pro Steppers get hot when idle
What can cause this? They get a little warm during operation as expected but intermittently when they are idle they will be borderline to hot to touch.

If you leave the machine on but not printing then you need to add:
G130 X0 Y0 A0 B0
to your end.gcode so that the power is turned down to minimum when it has finished printing. It is quite normal for them to get fairly hot, steppers can stand a lot of heat without any damage.
You need to check that you have:
G130 X127 Y127 A127 B127
in your start.gcode too so that it is brought back up to working value again when you print, it will probably be already there.

Good to know, I have been using Makerware primarily for my slicing so Im guessing thats the issue. Sounds like I need to get up to speed with Replicator G.
Thanks for the response
