The .zip file is bad. Try reposting the .stl without putting it inside a .zip file.

Fixed the zip wouldn't let me upload the stl directly.

which is odd as it's one of the approved file types. is it a very big file ? there are file size limits.

Okay loaded the pot into simplify3d - did you by any chance use inches ?
It needs to be in millimetres :-)

Other than that and the lid needing to be the other way up to print properly. The way you've got it it'll need supports.
    Looks fine.

Loads fine into makerware desktop as well.
But the pot only 25.2mm tall - and the lid is the wrong way up.

I don't know... But I think your .STL file is not 'manifold'. Netfabb says it has errors. How did you generate this model?

    Created in blender.

Still not working after removing non manifold vertices in Meshlab and filling in. Getting weird concentric circles where the raft should be.

    Will redo in Autodesk

what software are you printing with, what machine, etc.
And pics of the actual output would be much more sueful than cad designs.

And answering the odd question might help as well :-)

The model runs through a simplify3d tool path animation with no issues.

See image below abysmal print quality and holes.

Printed using MakerBot Desktop 3.6 on a Makerbot z18.

0.15mm,200 degrees 20% infill and huge 2.5cm offsett on the raft to attempt to deal with its strange circle effect

    Printed at 10x scale

Yep fixed top and bottom in netfabb. Not sure what side cut is trying to show. Am printing again on side with full supports to see if that helps.

Have tried refining mesh - as the part that prints as a large hole is in the wire-frame a mass of triangles no avail yet though

    Thanks for the help guys
