Hi Aardvark,
just wanted to thank you for all of your help and let you know that I have finally gotten some successful prints.

i could not get the Skeinforge50 to work from RepG. I downloaded Slic3r. It won't work from RepG either, but if I open Slic3r and export to a folder then import to RepG and make the sg3 file then save to the SD I can then print. The only problem is that it wants to print in the far right rear of the machine off of the platform. if I use The control panel in RepG and move the head to the extreme left near corner and set to 0,0, it will print nearer to center. I have to do this before each print. I should be able to resolve this, but not sure yet how.

Sheesh.
And try using makerware desktop as well.
You really are making things a lot more complicated for yourself than they need to be.
