Software/plug-ins for Spur Gears and Worm Gears Model Making for 3D Printing

Hey all, we need to print gears in a 3d printer, but I don't trust my model making accuracy to make worm gears that interlock with spur gears in blender (I'm not familiar with other 3d modelling software). Are there any accurate plug-ins for blender to make gears? Gears 2.0 bugs out on my blender and other ones I've tried arn't accurate enough for 3d printing. If there arn't accurate enough plug-ins what free relativly quick to download software can I use to make said gears? (worm and spur interlocking) Any help apreciated.

There are a number of customisable spur / worm gears on thingiverse that use OpenSCAD. They are a little difficult to search for, but search for "worm gear" and take a look at the files - if you see something with the extension ".scad" and you should get something customisable.
