Toyota evidently knows that the future of manufacturing will involve 3D printing to a large extent. They have just announced that they will be testing out 10 vehicles in Japan which will be driven by 100 different people, and will feature 3D printed customization options. The i-Road EV which is super compact and can be charged with a normal 100V electrical outlet will also have portions of it which can be changed out with 3D printed parts. These parts can have different textures and colors and can make one i-Road stand out from another. Read and see more on this project at: http://3dprint.com/63477/toyota-3d-printed-vehicle
