    ABS printing Problem

    Hi all
As staded in the mot section I am quite new to 3d printing.

At the moment I am having difficulties printing ABS.
I printed ABS last week with the same paramaters without any problems.

But now the filament is printing a few minutes and suddenly coming out of the side of the extruder ...

    Info:
    Filament: Voltivo EscelFil ABS 1.75
Temp: 235 (same problem with 231)
    Speed: 45-60mm/sec

I am wondering if i can resuse the ABS piglet tails

    thx

Well, I must say I haven't seen that one before... I'd check your extruder to make sure that the hobbed bolt notch, the guilder, and the hole in the bottom of the extruder are lined up properly, so that you can look all the way through the extruder from above the guidler.

I think the problem is that the filament get stuck and break and then needs a new way to get out.
At first I thougt the nozzle is to close to the print bed but that wasn't it.

So I think the problem was clogging. I tried to print pla and it run about 1 hour until it came out on side of the hotend.
During the cleaning I also found some pices of abs.

So lessoned: Check the Hotend after such funny behavior.

By the way is the makerfarm exturder the same for 1.75 and 3.00mm? If yes doesnt it make sense to use a guiding tube for 1.75?

Yes, it's the same extruder. I use 1.75 filament in mine, and actually drilled out the bottom hole a little and put in a short piece of PTFE tubing.
